-visit Basin Head Fisheries Museum, its craft and gift shops, ice-cream bar, food stand and beautiful beach ;
-shop in Souris where you will find a shopping mall, liquor store, banks, grocery stores, restaurants, gas, a hospital, a community center, a library, a movie theatre, etc. and the terminus for les îles de la Madeleine.
A little further away ( 40 to 75 minutes) :
-go to lobster suppers;
-visit the Greenwich National Park near St. Peters and follow its boardwalk across marshland and dunes to unrivaled wild beaches ;
-go horseback riding ;
-golf at the beautiful Links at Crowbush Cove, a five-star public course, one of Canada’s finest golf courses ;
-visit Anne's Land (read Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables)
-visit Cavendish and the many attractions in the area)
